Porcelain Veneers
A conservative approach to changing shape, color or position of teeth. Porcelain veneers are a thin porcelain shell that is bonded to your natural tooth. They are minimally invasive and resist discoloration when compared to resin veneers/cosmetic bonding.
Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain cosmetic crowns support and strengthen a weakened, natural tooth. They're also an excellent option for hiding cosmetic defects such as dark amalgam fillings, chips, cracks or misshapen teeth. Porcelain crowns are dental crowns made of a biocompatible glass material. There are three main types of porcelain materials used to fabricate dental crowns: Emax lithium disilicate, zirconia, and porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM).
Cosmetic Bonding
Cosmetic bonding, also known as dental bonding or composite bonding, is a dental procedure that uses a tooth-colored resin to improve the appearance of your teeth. It can be used to fix a number of common issues, including: small misshapen teeth, gaps, and small cracks.
Teeth Whitening
If you’re a coffee drinker, soda drinker, wine drinker, or smoker, you’re probably experiencing some yellowing or discoloration of your teeth. Even the natural process of aging can change the color of our teeth over time. Our Opalescent whitening system dramatically whitens teeth with little to no sensitivity. To keep the teeth looking whiter/brighter for longer our whitening also includes take home trays to be worn nightly.
Dental Crown
Porcelain crowns are caps or covers that fit over a tooth that has been affected by damage or decay. If a cavity has grown too large to be replaced with a filling, or a tooth is broken a crown is necessary. Crowns can be made of any number of materials, including metal, porcelain or ceramics. They are custom fit and placed on top of the affected tooth to restore your natural bite. Crowns can also be used to dramatically change smiles.
Dental Bridge
A dental bridge is made up of two or more crowns on either side of the missing tooth. The two anchoring teeth are called abutments and the fake teeth are called pontics. A bridge is permanently cemented just like a single crown. Due to the nature of a bridge, flossing requires a floss threader to adequately clean the abutment teeth. The use of a waterpik is also recommended.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy, also known as endodontic treatment, is a dental procedure that saves a damaged or infected tooth by removing the infected nerve/pulp and replacing it with a filling material coated in sealer. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown for protection and will continue to function like any other tooth.
There are a few symptoms that mean you might need a root canal-
Severe pain while chewing or biting
Pimples on the gums-sign of infection
A chipped or cracked tooth
Lingering sensitivity to hot or cold
Swollen or tender gums
Deep decay
What are Dental Implants?
A dental implant is a titanium post placed in the jawbone which provides the foundation for permanent or removable replacement teeth. Dental implant systems consist of a dental implant body and dental implant abutment and may also include an abutment fixation screw. The dental implant body is surgically inserted in the jawbone in place of the tooth's root. The dental implant abutment is usually attached to the implant body by the abutment fixation screw and extends through gums into the mouth to support the attached artificial teeth. Implants can be used to replace single teeth, multiple teeth (implant bridge), or all of the teeth with a full arch prosthetic.
FULL MOUTH RESTORATION WITH IMPLANT SUPPORT
Dental implants are the premier replacement choice for single tooth loss and multiple tooth loss. Unlike other tooth replacement options such as dentures and dental bridges, dental implants preserve the jawbone. Without something to support, whether an artificial tooth root or real, the jawbone will begin to deteriorate and cause facial sagging. Facial sagging causes pre-mature aging and changes the overall shape of ones face. Additionally, dental bridges require the neighboring teeth to be ground down in order to accept the bridge. With dental implants, healthy adjacent teeth remain intact.
What are Dentures
Dentures are custom-made prosthetic devices made for the purpose of replacing missing teeth. Most dentures are removable but advancement in technology has allowed for an implant-supported or fixed denture to be available now.
Traditional dentures are made of a strong, long-lasting acrylic resin material that intends to replace all upper or lower teeth in one arch. This is a great option if you are missing most of your teeth or if you are planning to extract most of the teeth. The bottom denture will sit along the gum line with room for the tongue. The upper denture will cover the roof of your mouth and affix to the gum line as well. Both the upper and lower denture are removable and an adhesive can be used to keep them securely in place.
PARTIAL DENTURES
Partial dentures are removable dentures that replace one or more missing teeth but not an entire row or arch. Very similar to a dental bridge, even called dental bridges at times. The partial has fake teeth where the missing teeth are and attaches to adjacent healthy teeth with a metal clasp.
